Diogo Evangelista (Lisbon, Portugal) is a visual artist with training in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Turin. In 2019/20, he collaborated as a tutor with the Portuguese Catholic University in the postgraduate program in new media.
He was a scholarship recipient in 2018 from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and was selected for the Sonae Media-Art and Bes Revelation awards. He has participated in artistic residencies in Turin at Cripta747, in Budapest at the Budapest Gallery, in Barcelona at the Espai Cultural Caja Madrid, and in Lisbon at the Galeria Zé dos Bois. He was one of the co-founders of the artist-run space Parkour in Lisbon.
He has held solo exhibitions at the following institutions: CAC (Vilnius), Galeria Francisco Fino (Lisbon), Cripta 747 (Turin), Galeria Zé dos Bois (Lisbon), Escola das Artes (Porto), MNAC (Lisbon), Brotéria (Lisbon), A Certain Lack of Coherence (Porto), among others.
He has exhibited collectively in institutions such as: Serralves Museum (Porto), MAAT (Lisbon), CIAJG (Guimarães), David Roberts Art Foundation (London), MOMMA (Moscow), 11th Biennale Gwangju (Gwangju), Futura (Prague), and others.
