Francisca Pinto was born in Vila do Conde, Portugal (1995). She lives and works in London, United Kingdom, and is currently studying at the Royal Academy Schools until July 2026.
In 2018, she was awarded a scholarship to undertake a postgraduate programme at the Royal Drawing School, which she completed in 2019. She received her BA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, in 2017.
In 2024, she was awarded the Flechada Prize — a programme supporting first solo exhibitions. She has participated in several artist residencies, including Residência Artística Grão at Quinta das Relvas (PT) in 2022, Borgo Pignano (IT) in 2019, and CEAC in Vila Nova da Barquinha (PT) in 2018.
She has exhibited regularly since 2016.
