The most essential and existential body that surrounds us - 71 percent of our planet is water, and more than half inhabits us. One body flows through our veins, rivers, oceans, and ends up in the same place. Beyond this essential body determining a range of features in us and our surroundings, the exhibition focuses on the connectivity it offers, not only through its essentialism but also because we all relate to it in one form or another.
Water deploys a range of practices around it: in washing and cleansing, or summer bathing, we encounter water as a life provider. It carries histories and narratives that also become political, a shared body of water exploited and privatized by some, with repercussions for others.
The exhibition centers on the connotations rather than the states - how something so essential can prevail within us and yet become the greatest scarcity for others.
It moves through different positions that reflect on how, in different ways and moments, water filters directly or indirectly into our everyday lives.
