Valendo-se dos momentos colectivos e de espírito síncrono, Um 31 na Fábrica é uma exposição que sugere-se através da expressão sócio-política oralmente popularizada por “fazer um 31”, reconfigurada para este efeito como acto de vitalidade artística. 

Reativando temporariamente o espaço da antiga Fábrica de Confeitaria da Manutenção Militar — no atual Beato Innovation District — reúne trinta e um artistas que trabalham ou trabalharam na zona de Xabregas, freguesia do Beato, procurando estabelecer uma convivência das práticas artísticas sedimentadas através do espaço dos ateliers e a história de um complexo industrial fabril que atravessou sucessivas transformações.

Drawing on moments of collective experience and a shared spirit, Um 31 na Fábrica is an exhibition inspired by the socio-political expression popularly known as ‘fazer um 31’, reimagined for this purpose as an act of artistic vitality.

Temporarily reactivating the space of the former Military Maintenance Confectionery Factory — in what is now the Beato Innovation District — it brings together thirty-one artists who work or have worked in the Xabregas area, in the parish of Beato, seeking to foster a coexistence between artistic practices rooted in the studio spaces and the history of an industrial manufacturing complex that has undergone successive transformations.
